The following poem was written for a
local Fitness Studio, from information provided by a loyal member
Curves
You just can’t do better than sign up at Curves
if you want to stay fit, truly toned and preserved
There’s Emma and Nat, and let’s not forget Tina
whose aim is to help you get fitter and leaner
Don’t worry ‘bout lycra or looking your best
Just pop on a tracksuit and tatty old vest
Don’t despair if you’re wobbly, perhaps quite well stacked
there aren’t any men here, to stare and distract
Tighten those bra straps, you need to be sure
you won’t trip on your boobs if they trail on the floor
On goes the music, now let’s see you smile
Tuck in your bottoms; don’t worry ‘bout style
Apply yourselves ladies; no gossip or giggling
you’re not working hard if your bottom’s not jiggling
A shout fills the room; now “Hey Mickey” is playing
The arms are all waving; the pompoms are swaying
Time for the Chest Press, and then Leg Extension
so very important for wobble-prevention
Lift up those pins and just “Love in it Girls”
You know you can do it; just six more leg curls
Now it’s the squat machine; stick out that bum
and please stop pretending you don’t find it fun
If you get hot and bothered, keep going, no fretting
Remember please ladies, you’re glowing not sweating
Tone up your bingo wings; firm up those thighs
and remember, it’s Wednesday, so ANTI clockwise
Oh Bugger! Confusion! They’re out of routine
and two ladies are aiming for just one machine
But they’re putting off something that can’t be delayed
It’s that time of the week to get measured and weighed
Slow down, take it easy, just stretch and relax
then jump on the scales and let’s gather some facts
Some ladies are thinner, some ladies are fatter
but just do your best girls, size don’t always matter
Be happy, be healthy; when all’s said and done
You’re a little bit fitter and found it was fun……
